Here at Higgins Custom Cabinetry our goal first and foremost is to provide you with beautiful, quality, and functional custom cabinets to help you make your home dreams a reality. Our passion is "providing outstanding services throughout the years and bringing heirloom quality to the custom cabinetry building process."
WHO WE ARE
Higgins Custom Cabinetry is a family owned and operated business that has been in service for more than 40 years! Founded in 1971 by Dave Higgins, a quality home builder in Southeast Minnesota, he began building custom cabinets for the homes he was building. In 1998, he went exclusively to custom cabinetry. In 2006, he passed the torch on to his son, Darcy, accompanied by his wife, Jennifer.
Raised in the cabinet industry, Darcy Higgins learned all aspects of the business. Today, Darcy oversees the production, installation and quality control of all the cabinets and is the driving force to improve efficiency and productivity. In addition to cabinetry, Darcy uses his shop equipment and technical skills to serve his community by creating game boards, life-size figures, award plaques and toys for special events. He also designed and constructed a weightlifting platform for the Minnesota Weightlifting Association.
Jennifer Higgins came on board in 1999 to take over the bookkeeping. Jennifer manages the books, the front office, and oversees the bidding process. Their two daughters, Danielle and Caitlin, have also come on board to help and learn the business. Danielle, age 21, assists in the company's social media and marketing and Caitlin, age 17, helps maintain the showroom and prices hardware. However, the family business would not be complete without the help of the Higgins' two dogs, Maxie and Luke. The two dogs accompany Darcy and Jennifer to work every morning and spend their days hanging out with the ladies in the front office.
Darcy and Jennifer along with their two daughters and two dogs are committed in carrying on the tradition of manufacturing cabinets with exceptional quality and impeccable detail.
